Letter: Medical profession overwhelmed

Resignations, firings, abysmal service — these have characterized the Veterans Affairs’ efforts to provide medical care for our veterans. That great improvements were made under retired Gen. Eric Shinseki’s tenure with the VA cannot be denied. The VA is simply overwhelmed by the number of veterans needing care and is experiencing difficulty attracting and retaining quality health care professionals.

That said, how does the Affordable Health Care Act propose to deal with the millions mandated to purchase insurance when they need care and no medical professionals are available?
