Esther Short — Children involved with organizations like Share, Boys & Girls Clubs and the Juvenile Justice Center will be able to take art classes this summer and fall via the Mosaic Arts Alliance, which has received a $5,000 grant from the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington.

The money will pay for professional artists’ teaching time as well as supplies for the kids to do glass art, photography, collage, jewelry making and more.

Mosaic is a nonprofit, cooperative arts organization that also operates Gallery 360 on Ninth Street in downtown Vancouver.
