People in business

o Courtney Barker has been appointed to the board of directors of the Vancouver-based Northwest Association of Blind Athletes. Barker is vice president of marketing and communications at Corwin Beverage Co. in Ridgefield.

o Audri Bomar is The Columbian’s new community partnerships manager. She will work on partnerships between The Columbian and Southwest Washington nonprofit and business organizations. She will also coordinate the Clark County Economic Forecast Breakfast and oversee the First Citizen Award event. Bomar previously worked on community outreach for C-Tran and EnviroIssues.

o Jeff Havener has been hired by Columbia Credit Union as vice president for lending operations. Havener, a graduate of Linfield College in Oregon, has more than 25 years of financial industry experience.

oSigmaDesign has added two employees to its staff. Derek Woodson was hired as a senior account manager and Jeremy Davis will be an engineering team lead. Woodson has a degree in plastics engineering from Western Washington University and both a master of engineering management and a master of business administration from Washington State University. He will be responsible for managing and growing large clients in the Northwest region.

Davis has a degree in engineering science from Colorado State University and a master’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Tennessee. For the past 20 years, he has been designing hardware and leading research and development teams for inkjet printers.

o Dan Boyett is a branch manager at Scottrade, Inc. He leads a team of investment consultants at the relocated Vancouver branch office in the Village at Fisher’s Landing. Scottrade is an investing services company that operates an online brokerage, with 14 branches throughout Washington.

New business news

o Epic Yoga LLC opened its doors in late May at 1933 Belmont Loop, Suite A, Woodland. It is Woodland’s first professional flow yoga studio. Classes are offered Monday through Thursday. Owner/instructor Jackie Southerland has 12 years experience and education in personal fitness training, nutrition and life coaching. She is a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance. o Liz Suchinda has opened her second Yoga Garden studio at 208 Pioneer St., Suite B, Ridgefield. She opened her first location in 2012 in Battle Ground. A grand opening celebration will be June 19-21, with free yoga. * yogagardennw.com, 360-607-3315.
