Esther Short — The staff of Children’s Center, a mental health clinic that serves children and families struggling with serious mental health issues, was hoping their second annual “Glamorous Gams” gala, a fundraiser that enlisted local teams to ham it up and show some leg, would break last year’s record. They weren’t disappointed. Nine teams and 250 guests turned out for Glamorous Gams2 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington on May 31; a total of $202,548 was raised for the nonprofit agency. Winning fundraising teams were The Fabulous Brunettes (Jane Cook, Julie Kuni and Nicki Wann) for joint fundraising, and Madonna and her Purple Prince (Sherri McMillan and Rob Cloke) for individual team member fundraising.
