Meyer Memorial Trust awards four grants

Meyer Memorial Trust awarded four Grassroots Grants worth nearly $83,000 to Clark County organizations.

The trust’s board meets monthly to make grants. Here are the June grant recipients:

• FISH of Vancouver, $30,870 to purchase commercial coolers and freezers for a new facility.

• Free Clinic of Southwest Washington, $15,834 to support an adult oral health program that provides free urgent dental care for the uninsured and underinsured.

• Nonprofit Network of Southwest Washington, $30,000 for staff that will enhance the agency’s ability to provide professional development opportunities for staff, boards and volunteers across the county.

• Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Oregon and Southwest Washington, $5,830 to upgrade a website to provide critical information for women with ovarian cancer and better collect online donations.

The Meyer Memorial Trust has awarded more than $9.6 million in Southwest Washington since it began operating in 1982.
