The La Center woman injured Friday in a fatal wrong-way crash on Interstate 5 near Ridgefield was listed in serious condition on Sunday.

Ericka Gorremans, 32, and her 10-year-old son were injured in the crash, which killed Gorremans’ 6-year-old nephew. An update on the condition of Gorremans’ son was not available Sunday. He and Gorremans were listed in critical condition on Saturday, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The crash occurred just before 2 p.m. Friday when an 84-year-old Vancouver man driving south in the northbound lanes of I-5 crashed head-on into a car driven by Gorremans.

State Patrol said Saturday that Gage W. Musgrave, was reported in satisfactory condition Saturday at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.

An update on his condition was not available Sunday.

Musgrave has been cooperating with investigators and told them that he had become disoriented while driving and had entered the freeway from the Exit 11 area, according to State Patrol.

The names of the two children in the crash were not released.
