Letter: Review passages before judging

I have to assume that Christian businesses that decline service to gays must have missed several Bible passages about divorce, fornication, adultery and bearing false witness. Since all are condemned, it seems strange that only one is refused service. To exclude gays and accept people who are just living together, who have premarital sex, who are divorced or who are cheating on their spouses seems rather hypocritical.

Perhaps the passages that should be looked at are something like: judge not that ye be not judged, love your neighbor as yourself, and he who is without sin … I’m sure these passages are familiar to those who so strongly defend their religion. They must read the Bible.
