Letter: Aviation spirit reflected in award

The Columbian
Published: March 3, 2014, 4:00pm

The Washington Aviation Association awarded the Northwest Spirit of Aviation Award on Feb. 22 to the Pearson Field Education Center for outstanding passion and commitment to aviation. This award recognizes the hard work and dedication of Laureano Mier, director of aviation education programs, the Fort Vancouver National Trust and the staff of volunteers dedicated to aviation. This award moves forward the progress of aviation education in the Vancouver community. Thank you for all your hard work and may the next years bring aviation to bigger and better achievements.

P.S.: To the National Park Service: Stop being bullies and give the community back its world-class air museum. You have proven that you cannot operate nor even understand what an air museum is. We as a community want the museum back.
