Police looking for missing Gresham man, 76

The man may have dementia, was on his way to Seattle

Police are asking the public to help locate a missing Gresham, Ore., man who may have dementia.

Gary Gochnour, 76, reportedly left Gresham on Thursday in a U-Haul truck and was headed for Seattle, where he planned to move in with his sister, according to the Gresham Police Department. He never arrived at his sister’s home. He didn’t contact his sister or return the 10-foot box U-Haul truck either, police said.

Police described Gochnour as white, 5-foot-9 and weighing 165 pounds. He has gray hair and no facial hair, police said.

The U-Haul truck he drove has Arizona license plates, and the plate number is AE80457. The truck number is TM2937E.

Anyone with information related to the case is asked to call the Gresham Police Department tip line at 503-618-2719.
