Letter: Local connection outsourced

Two of our Clark County commissioners, David Madore and Tom Mielke, decided to replace a long-standing and workable system of reserving picnic spots at county parks with an online system. A March 3 story reported “Clark County to offer parks reservations online.” Their idea is to save money by reducing county staff time. Yes, this will reduce county staff time because the company these two commissioners have contracted with to set up and operate the site is located in San Diego, Calif.

Whoops! Our two commissioners, Madore and Mielke, want to outsource local jobs to San Diego?
