An estimated 10,000 people checked out the Vancouver Farmers Market at Esther and West Sixth streets in downtown Vancouver on Saturday and Sunday, the opening weekend of the market’s 25th season. Saturday’s turnout was higher than expected, in part because of the sunshine, and some of the 75 vendors sold out, said market spokesman Nathan Swango. During market hours Sunday, the sky was overcast with occasional sprinkles.
