Published:

A time capsule buried by Salmon Creek Elementary School students 20 years ago at a local McDonald’s will be opened Sunday.

The time capsule, covered in concrete in the play area and full of items that were important to the kids in 1994, will be opened during a 2 p.m. ceremony at the restaurant, 13002 N.E. Highway 99.

The relic was placed with approval from former franchise owners Pat and Doris Gilbert, who are now retired, but will be at the unveiling, along with former students and teachers who were there on March 23, 1994.
