Felida Red Barn acreage headed for possible residential redevelopment

Felida — One of the last working farms and beloved farm stores in the county appears to be headed for history. What’s been the Felida Red Barn and its acreage at Northwest 199th Street and 21st Avenue since the 1940s is now the proposed site of a redevelopment project. Kramer’s Corner would be a 48-lot planned unit development on 11.2 acres, aimed at middle-income homebuyers. The property has been owned by three local sisters for years, who have now formed the Tri-Kin Co., and operated as a farm and store by George and Carol Hoffman, but none of them returned The Columbian’s calls. A public hearing on the proposal is set for 6 p.m. April 10 at the Clark County Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Room 680.
