A Ridgefield man was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon in a vehicle collision along Interstate 5 in Castle Rock.

Angelina Puris, 63, of Centralia was driving north on the freeway in the left lane near Milepost 49 when she lost control of her Nissan Sentra and swerved to the left, according to the Washington State Patrol. She crossed the median and went into the southbound lanes, where she struck a Mazda MZ3 driven by Robert Huling, 72, of Ridgefield.

Puris and Huling were transported to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Longview. Puris was later transported to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland. Huling was in serious condition Wednesday night while Puris’ condition was not available.

The State Patrol cited Puris for driving off the roadway.
