Battle Ground police cited a Vancouver man who allegedly caused a three-car collision Thursday on state Highway 503.

Around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, 911 alerted the Battle Ground Police Department about a reckless driver in a green Toyota on the highway. Shortly after that, the Toyota struck a car in the 1400 block of Northwest 10th Avenue, just south of Northwest Onsdorff Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found three cars involved in the crash.

People in the two cars that had been struck by the Toyota were taken to a hospital and treated for their injuries. Jonah G. Nash, 32, of Vancouver was arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of reckless driving.

Battle Ground police originally said Jon M. Coughtry, 53, caused the crash, but he was merely a witness to the crash.
