SALEM, Ore. — Police say a patient missing from the Oregon State Hospital in Salem has been located.

He was identified as 60-year-old Gregory A. Page, reported missing Saturday morning when hospital workers made hourly rounds.

Page was found guilty except for insanity in 1994 after he was charged in Lane County with attempted murder. He was accused of shooting a man he had been harassing in Florence.

At the hospital, he was living in a group home on the grounds but outside the institution’s secure perimeter. The Oregon Health Authority didn’t consider him dangerous.

The State Police said Sunday that some of his belongings were found at a Corvallis supermarket. A press release Monday morning didn’t describe how or where he had been located.
