Edgewood Park — Kenny Fletcher of Paper Tiger Coffee House was working on a rich, robust new coffee blend of two direct-trade beans from Brazil and El Salvador. Cameron Davenport, a student at the Washington State School for the Blind, was learning about coffee roasting. Thus was born Liger Roast; the name combines Paper Tiger with the WSSB mascot, a lion. Professional Liger roaster Davenport now has taught other WSSB students the highly employable skill of coffee roasting, and they keep the Liger Roast flowing at WSSB campus coffee shop. You can order a fresh cup, or a whole bag, at Paper Tiger, 703 Grand Blvd. All proceeds from sales of Liger Roast are donated to WSSB.
