SEATTLE — A Seattle man who killed his roommate’s fiancee after he was told to move out has been sentenced to more than 28 years in prison.
The Seattle Times reports that victim Kevin Bell had allowed his childhood friend, Austin Spearman, to move into his Seattle condo in the summer of 2010. However, court documents say Bell got engaged by the end of 2011 and asked Spearman to move out.
Prosecutors say Spearman, 53, attacked Bell and his fiancee Kristy Boyd after they went to bed. Bell ran out of the condo and Spearman locked him out. Prosecutors say Spearman then attacked and killed Boyd, stabbing her multiple times with a large knife.
