Do you finding yourself thinking these dog days of summer could be better spent with, well, a dog? You’re in luck. Select dogs at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington are up for adoption at 20 to 50 percent off original adoption fees.

The Summer Lovin’ adoption special runs Tuesday through Sunday, June 8.

During the summer months, more dogs are taken in or surrendered by their owners, according to the Humane Society. The special eases the burden of an influx of dogs and partners prospective owners with their perfect pooch.

Adoption hours at the shelter are noon to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays at 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave.

All pet adoptions include spay or neuter surgery, microchip ID system and national registration, vaccinations, free veterinary exam with a local participating veterinarian, animal training information and low-cost pet insurance options.

For more information visit the Humane Society’s website or call 360-693-4746.
