CLEVELAND — An exhibit chronicling Paul Simon’s career will debut at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.

The Rock Hall announced Wednesday that “Paul Simon: Words & Music” will feature a first-person narrative from Simon. It is a first for the museum.

The exhibit in Cleveland will showcase more than 80 artifacts, including Simon’s first acoustic guitar, Simon & Garfunkel’s original recording contract, handwritten lyrics for “The Boxer” and a letter Simon wrote as a teen from summer camp to Art Garfunkel.

Simon was inducted into the Rock Hall as a solo artist and as one-half of Simon & Garfunkel. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the duo’s debut album, “Wednesday Morning, 3 AM.”

The 73-year-old Simon has won 12 Grammys.

The exhibit opened Thursday.
