There was one repeat champion as Clark County Youth Football wrapped up its 32nd season on Saturday with championship games in five age divisions.

The repeat champions were the Evergreen School District Titans, who won the seventh-grade division championship by beating the Hockinson Hawks 14-0.

In the sixth-grade championship game, the Evergreen School District Thunder beat the Vancouver School District Sharks. That result reversed the 2013 championship game in the division for grades 4-5.

Hockinson won the eighth-grade title, winning 39-24 in a shootout with the Brush Prairie Falcons.

In the championship of the division for grades 4-5, the Camas Cardinals Black beat the Hockinson Hawks 32-13.

In the youngest division, for grades 2-3, the Vancouver School District Sharks beat the Camas Cougars 19-14.

The championship games were played at District Stadium in Battle Ground.

Union squad wins rugby 7s title

Union defeated Brush Prairie 17-12 on Saturday in an all-Clark County final match to win the Rugby Oregon High School Fall 7s championship.

The match at Lents Park in southeast Portland featured the top two teams from the league’s regular season, with Union completing an undefeated season.

To reach the cup final match, Union defeated the Central Cougars 38-5 and Prairie beat Lincoln 17-7 in Saturday’s semifinal matches.

The seven-a-side version of rugby will be included in the 2016 Olympics. Matches are short. In the fall league, games included two seven-minute halves.

Rugby Oregon’s 15-a-side high school season is in the spring. In recent years, teams from Clark County have been successful in those leagues.

Hockey team loses

Mountain View student Alex Kasper scored both goals, but Team North lost to West Portland 3-2 on Sunday in a Winterhawks Varsity Hockey League game. Quinton Hallquist of Vancouver had an assist on one of the Team North goals.

Team North, which includes players from Clark County, next plays at 7:55 p.m. on Nov. 9 at the Winterhawks Skating Center in Beaverton against East Portland.
