The northbound span of the Interstate Bridge will see intermittent lifts Friday night and again Saturday morning for maintenance and repairs.

Each lift will last no longer than 15 minutes. Here are details.

Starting at 8 p.m. Friday Nov. 7, the northbound span will see several lifts necessary to complete emergency repairs to the computerized traffic control system. All lifts will be complete by midnight.

Starting at 6:30 a.m. Saturday Nov. 8, the northbound span will see lifts for routine maintenance. All lifts should be completed by 9 a.m. Saturday.

The Interstate Bridge carries Interstate 5 across the Columbia River between Oregon and Washington. The northbound span opened in 1917 and the southbound span in 1958. The bridge is owned by the two states and is operated and maintained by ODOT.
