Zac Shomler of Skyview was voted The Columbian’s high school football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Nov. 8.
Shomler collected 30 percent of the 1,574 votes cast by fans to beat out Cole Zarcone of Camas, who had 24 percent.
Shomler completed 35 of 51 passes for 437 yards and four touchdowns in a win over Skyline.
The other nominees were Caleb Browning of Union, Nathan Hawthorne of Columbia River and Austen Johnson of Hockinson.
Nominees and the online ballot are posted at www.360preps.com each Saturday and voting continues until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
