Camas cross country runners qualify for Nike nationals

Milltown Project, a girls cross country team made up of Camas High runners, won the Nike Cross Nationals Northwest Regional on Saturday in Boise.

Milltown scored 67 points, with the second-place team of from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, scoring 101.

Emma Jenkins was the highest placer for Milltown, coming in eighth on the 5K course in 19 minutes, 27.6 seconds.

Alissa Pudlitzke was 14th (19:48.6), Maddie Woodson 36th (20:43.5); Kaylee Merritt 38th (20:47.9), and Emily Wilson rounded out the scoring in 44th (20:51.9). Gabrielle Postma was 56th (21:10.8), and Brooke Roy was 57th (21:12.8).

The national meet is set for Dec. 6 at Glendoveer Golf Course in Portland.
