At least two people were shot when a gunman opened fire at Florida State University, campus police and hospital officials confirmed to the Los Angeles Times on Wednesday night.
No other information was released.
People identifying themselves as students said they heard gunshots near the library.
The university issued an emergency alert to students and said there was a “dangerous situation” on the main campus and to seek shelter immediately.
Tallahassee police said they were aware of the situation, but campus police were the lead agency on the incident.
