Letter: Take down all your leftovers

The elections are over, and there is no need to keep any of the “vote for” signs up any longer. We all have been bombarded by phone calls during election times, and now it’s time to get rid of the eyesores.

I feel that all signs should be picked up within 15 days of the election, and if not a fine is given to each party who does not rid them from the public eye. Plus, I consider it litter. The money collected would go toward food banks for the hungry and nothing else, not to the cities’ or county’s general funds that can’t even take care of its own parks.
