2. Dancing queen

Broadway Across America brings ABBA’s songs to the stage in the classic show “Mamma Mia!” Set on a Greek island, Sophie wants her father to walk her down the aisle, but her mother, Donna, has never revealed his identity. So Sophie invites three men from her mother’s past to the wedding. The production begins at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 25-29; 2 p.m. Nov. 29; and 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Keller Auditorium, 222 S.W. 3. Indoor excitement

It’s a day of family fun at the Firstenburg Community Center. All ages are encouraged to enjoy a free day of basketball, swimming, rock climbing, pickleball and more. The day of activities will end with a community movie night. “The Lego Movie,” rated G, will be shown at 6:30 p.m. in the gym with popcorn provided. Family Fun Day will run from noon to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 22 at the Firstenburg Community Center, 700 N.E. 136th Ave., Vancouver. Admission is free. 4. Holiday troupe

The Va Va Voom performance troupe will present its holiday show, featuring a variety of comedy, holiday songs and skits that highlight the mix-ups that happen around the holidays. Va Va Voom is a group of entertainers ages 50 and older. The group performs 2 p.m. Nov. 21 and 2 and 7 p.m. Nov. 22 at the Barberton Grange, 9400 N.E. 72nd Ave., Vancouver. Tickets are $10. 5. Shakespeare for everyone

High school students will bring works of Shakespeare to life during the Fall Festival of Shakespeare. The festival is a collaboration between Portland Playhouse and local high schools, with two school productions performed during each time slot: 11 a.m. and 3 and 7 p.m. Nov. 22. During the 3 p.m. time slot, Fort Vancouver High School will perform “Much Ado About Nothing,” followed by Ridgefield High School performing “Macbeth.” High school students in the audience also will call out their reactions to the performances, mimicking the audiences that watched Shakespeare plays in Elizabethan England.
