AAA: Average gas price in Washington dips to $3.09

BELLEVUE — The AAA auto club reports the average price of a gallon of gasoline in Washington is $3.09.

That’s down a penny in a week, 20 cents in a month, and it’s 22 cents less than a year ago. But it’s 28 cents higher than the national average. The average price of a gallon in Oregon is $3.04, down 23 cents in a month but 23 cents higher than the national average. The average in Vancouver and Portland is $3.02

Some metro prices from the AAA’s Monday survey: Bellingham, $3.13; Bremerton, $3; Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, $3.15; Tacoma, $3.07; Olympia, $3.09; Tri-Cities, $3.02; and Spokane, $2.97.
