County certifies results of November election

The Clark County Elections office certified November’s elections results Tuesday. Clark County voter turnout was 50.64 percent; statewide voter turnout was 54.15 percent.

The majority of Clark County incumbents were re-elected to their seats this midterm election.

Rep. Monica Stonier, D-Vancouver, was one incumbent who lost her seat, with 48.4 percent of the votes to Lynda Wilson’s 51.6 percent.

In one of the other tight county races, Republican Jeanne Stewart beat Democrat Craig Pridemore for a seat on the county commission. Stewart received 50.38 percent of the vote to Pridemore’s 49.62 percent.
