SEATTLE — A bench warrant has been issued for ex-Sonic Robert Swift after he missed his arraignment Wednesday in King County Superior Court.
The Seattle Times reports the former first-round NBA draft choice had been arrested for possession of a sawed-off shotgun. A $20,000 warrant was issued after the 29-year-old Swift didn’t show up for his court date.
He had been charged on Nov. 12 with unlawful possession of a short-barreled shotgun in connection with an October raid of a Kirkland home where Swift was living. His roommate has been charged with drug offenses in both state and federal court.
Court documents show police found the sawed-off shotgun under Swift’s bed.
