Singer Idina Menzel will step away from Broadway stages and sound booths of Hollywood animation studios to undertake a global concert tour next year, starting July 7 in Richmond, Va., and culminating at the Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 3.

Using the springboard of her runaway hit performance as the voice of “Let It Go” from Disney’s hit film and soundtrack “Frozen,” Menzel is mounting a show that will feature songs she sang as the character Elsa in “Frozen” as well as selections from several Broadway shows in which she has appeared, including “Wicked,” “Rent” and the show she’s currently starring in, “If/Then.”

With the success of “Let It Go,” Menzel became the first Tony Award winner to score a No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Hot 100 pop singles chart.

She’s also just released her first album of seasonal music, “Christmas Wishes,” which entered Billboard’s Holiday Albums chart at No. 1.

The dates on the world tour announced on Monday include stops in 39 cities in the U.S. and Canada. General sales begin Dec. 5, and American Express and Citi cardholders can get early access for some venues starting Dec. 1.
