A Vancouver man was arrested in Portland on Tuesday after he allegedly exposed himself to children at an Old Navy store in Clackamas on Sept. 20.

Deputies with the Clackamas sheriff’s child abuse team apprehended Peter Sugich, 58, of Vancouver on suspicion of felony public indecency, according to the sheriff’s office.

Last week, deputies sought the public’s help in catching a man who allegedly exposed himself on the evening of Sept. 20 to two children, ages 6 and 10, inside the Old Navy at the Clackamas Promenade, 8658 S.E. Sunnyside Road. The children told their mother about the incident, but the man had left the store by the time anyone could question him.

Deputies released a photo of the man from the store’s surveillance footage. Officials thanked the public on Wednesday for the tips that led them to identifying Sugich as the suspect.

Sugich, a registered sex offender, has a previous conviction for public indecency, according to the sheriff’s office. He was booked into the Clackamas County Jail and is being held on $100,000 bail.

Investigators are hoping to talk to any other possible victims of Sugich. Anyone with more information is asked to call 503-723-4949 and reference case No. 14-25910.
