An elderly couple were robbed at their home in Clark County on Thursday night by a man wearing a Halloween mask.

The couple were getting ready for bed at their home in the 4700 block of Northeast 123rd Street in the Pleasant Highlands neighborhood when the man came through an unlocked back door. He was wearing all black clothing, black gloves and a black mask, as well as a long knife in a sheath on his waist, according to Clark County sheriff’s Sgt. Fred Neiman.

After the man demanded money, the couple gave him a small amount of cash and he ran out the back door, Neiman said.

Deputies were called to the house at 11:28 p.m. Thursday. They searched the area with police dogs, but were unable to locate a suspect, Neiman said. The couple described the robber as slender and about 6 feet tall.
