A Portland man who was last seen in rural Skamania County has been missing for about a month.
On Sept. 7, Joseph Ronald Sizemore’s red 2009 Ford Focus broke down on the side of Washougal River Road near Milepost 17. After he called his girlfriend from Washougal River Mercantile, Skamania County deputies came to help around 11:45 a.m., giving him some gas and a jump-start, said Undersheriff Dave Cox.
The 42-year-old told the deputies he was driving home to his residence on Northeast Halsey Street in Portland and was last seen driving south on Washougal River Road. Family members reported him missing after he didn’t return home.
“We are very concerned about Mr. Sizemore’s physical and mental state after being without his medication,” Cox said. “Mr. Sizemore’s family has provided information of several life-threatening medical issues which require his daily medications that he has not been able to take for 28 days now. Mr. Sizemore is somewhat mentally disabled and may appear disoriented.”
