The Oregon Air National Guard’s 142nd Fighter Wing will conduct routine F-15 night training missions tonight and Tuesday.

Night training allows the pilots based in Portland and Vancouver to stay current with mandatory Air Force requirements. These missions are conducted monthly as they provide essential training in the use of night vision goggles and aircraft maneuvering in nighttime flying scenarios.

Flights will depart from and land at the Portland International Airport, and training will occur in approved airspace several miles off the Oregon coast. Training flights will conclude each evening before 10 p.m.
