Letter: Vandalism is sign of insult

As veterans, many of us have friends who died fighting for America in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan or other wars. I am appalled by the selective defacing and destruction of campaign signs in Clark County. This is a shameful assault on the constitutional rights that are a foundation of our democracy.

Did the lives sacrificed and wounds of surviving veterans mean nothing to the citizens of Clark County? This kind of nonsense should not be tolerated or allowed to continue in our community. We can and must do better.
