OREGON CITY, Ore. — A Clackamas County Circuit Court Judge told David Brian Martin he was “everyone’s worst nightmare” as the 32-year-old was sentenced to 38 years in prison for breaking into a Molalla home and raping a woman.

The Oregonian reports the victim confronted Martin during Tuesday’s sentencing and called him selfish and evil.

Martin pleaded guilty to rape, burglary and other charges for the attack in August 2013. He was matched to the scene by DNA. Police say he committed another break-in and sexual assault before he was arrested.

Martin asked for forgiveness in court. He says he is not a monster and blamed his behavior on a horrible combination of drugs.
