Habitat for Humanity affiliate raises $40,000 at fundraiser

Ellsworth Springs — The annual “Raising the Roof” fundraising breakfast hosted by Evergreen Habitat for Humanity on Sept. 18 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington was attended by more than 300 people and raised more than $40,000.

The breakfast featured emcees Jim Mains and Temple Lentz and a video of 10 volunteers Habitat recently sent to Guatemala. John DiVittorio received the 2014 Volunteer of the Year award, John McKibbin received the Ray Johnson award and Patrick Ginn with Ginn Realty Group received the Community Supporter of the Year award.

Habitat has consolidated its local homebuilding and thrift-store activities at one location, the former car dealership at 10811 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd. Learn more at www.ehfh.org.
