Salmon Creek — The third annual fundraising luncheon for the Child Abuse Assessment Team at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center drew nearly 500 attendants and raised $100,000.

The program at Legacy hospital works with law enforcement and social service agencies to provide medical assessments of children who may have experienced abuse, and to provide other resources and treatment.

The keynote speaker was Dave Pelzer, bestselling author of the memoir “A Child Called ‘It’.” The Salmon Creek Hospital Foundation hosted the luncheon held Sept. 5 at Hilton Vancouver Washington in downtown Vancouver. Learn more at www.legacyhealth.org/giving.
