Letter: Yes, motive for charter matters

The Columbian
Published: October 9, 2014, 5:00pm

It cannot be forgotten that this home rule charter was proposed at a meeting held to discuss a recall effort of the Clark County commissioners. Realizing that it would not go anywhere, Craig Pridemore proposed the home rule charter as an alternative to the recall, explained in the May 11, 2013, Columbian article, “Overflow crowd meets to discuss recall, other options of Madore, Mielke“. Pridemore is now a candidate for county commissioner.

Ignore the smokescreens about this being to improve governance and see it for what it is, nothing more than an effort to undo the 2012 election in hopes of Democrats regaining control of the county commission.
