Letter: Impressed by representation

The Columbian
Published: October 9, 2014, 5:00pm

Four years ago, I was impressed that Monica Stonier was the only candidate who stopped by my door. This year, Rep. Stonier, D-Vancouver, visited our house and I invited our neighbors over to chat. We listened to Stonier’s take on education funding, class sizes and the need to support our schools. We were impressed.

I watched The Columbian’s side-by-side interview with Stonier and candidate Lynda Wilson. Up here in north Clark County, an east county bridge has zero benefit for us. I used to commute to Portland for 13 years, and my wife still does, over the I-5 Bridge. I’m impressed that Stonier supports the I-5 Bridge as a priority and I am not so impressed with Wilson’s lack of support.

I hope you’ll join me in re-electing Monica Stonier as our 17th District representative.
