Oregon man hurt in Hwy. 500 motorcycle crash

A Beaverton, Ore., man was injured in a motorcycle crash in Vancouver on Sunday night.

Charles Shuler, 48, was driving a yellow 2009 Yamaha Z6R west on state Highway 500 near the Interstate 205 interchange when he lost control because he was traveling at an excessive speed, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Shuler was ejected in the crash, which was reported at 10:08 p.m. He was wearing a helmet.

He was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. His condition was not available.

Shuler is expected to face charges of speeding, having no motorcycle endorsement and third-degree driving with a suspended license, according to the State Patrol.
