Aging expert to discuss state legislation

An aging expert will be the featured speaker at an upcoming meeting of the Clark County Commission on Aging.

Gail Haskett of the Washington State Council on Aging will discuss the council’s work and the Joint Legislative Executive Committee on Aging and Disability.

The meeting is 4:30 to 6 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Public Service Center, sixth-floor hearing room, 1300 Franklin St. The meeting is an opportunity for members of the public to share concerns about needs of local residents.

Haskett represents Western Washington on the state council and chairs its policy and research committee. The council focuses on issues concerning seniors and people with disabilities.
