Andrea Duvall said Tuesday that nobody has called claiming to own the “miracle kitty” rescued from underneath the engine of her car Monday morning.

She and her co-worker, Karie Springer, have taken turns caring for the approximately 8-week-old kitten that had somehow managed to climb into the underpinnings of Duvall’s 2013 Audi A4.

After surviving the 20-mile trip from Woodland to Vancouver, the cat was finally rescued after Les Schwab employee Mark Hughes took off the Audi’s wheels, unscrewed a plastic panel from the car’s undercarriage, reached up, and pulled the cat out.

Duvall said that she is not looking for people to adopt the feline, but is hoping to find the kitten’s owner. Anyone who thinks the kitten may be theirs is asked to call Springer at 360-771-6376.

Duvall said she will wait a few days and then, if he remains unclaimed, she may adopt the kitten herself.

“I’ve fallen in love with him,” she said.
