A Brush Prairie man was arrested after allegedly driving a pickup into several lawns and crashing into a power pole, causing localized outages Wednesday night.

Timo T. Toristoja, 42, was driving a silver 2010 Ford F150 pickup east on Northeast 88th Street from St. Johns Boulevard when he left the roadway and drove over several lawns, damaging shrubbery and small trees, according to Clark County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Fred Neiman.

The pickup struck two parked vehicles in the 5100 block of Northeast 88th Street and then crashed into a power pole, causing localized outages, Neiman said.

Toristoja continued driving the heavily damaged truck, Neiman said, and eventually parked in the parking lot of Home Depot on Northeast Andresen Road.

Toristoja was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run. He was evaluated by a dug recognition expert, Neiman said, and an additional charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants is pending the results of test results.
