Non-league football: Ridgefield 50, Fort Vancouver 18

After leading by only four at halftime, the Ridgefield Spudders flipped a switch and scored 28 unanswered points to defeat Fort Vancouver.

The first half was tightly contested as both teams scored three touchdowns in the second quarter after a scoreless first.

Fort’s Jeremiah Davis scored on a 60-yard option run to make it 15-12 Ridgefield with 3:16 left in the half. Fort then went for an onside kick and recovered it, leading to a 35-yard touchdown pass from Jordan Suell to Jorge Regalado.

Nathan Eggleston scored his second touchdown of the quarter with 46 seconds left to make it 22-18 Ridgefield at halftime.

Ridgefield scored two touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters and shutout the Trappers for the rest of the half.

Eggleston finished with 191 yards and three touchdowns.
