Letter: Foolish to add unenforceable laws

In regards to the Oct. 10 article “State law on texting while driving needs to be updated” is not only asinine, it is asi-ten. Why update a law that isn’t enforced to begin with? I am a volunteer driver and I see people driving and talking on the phone all the time, as well as law enforcement.

I have learned that thinking logically is outdated. What difference does it make as to what type of phone you have that makes it not a violation? If you have a phone to your ear, it is a violation. Pure and simple.

So there will be more wasted time in Olympia on an issue that doesn’t need to be addressed.
