Prep roundup: Union girls swimming caps unbeaten season

With top-two finishes in three races, Union outscored Camas 98-72 to complete a perfect girls swimming dual-meet season. Both teams were unbeaten entering Tuesday’s meet at at the Clark County Family YMCA.

Union’s Levi Cox won the 200-yard individual medley (2 minutes, 19.82 seconds) and the 100 breaststroke (1:12.73). She also swam on the Titans winning teams in the 200 medley relay to open the meet and the 400 freestyle relay to finish it.

Other individual winners for Union were Sarah Denney in the 200 freestyle (2:15.30) and Marissa Young in the 500 freestyle (5:49.65)

Anna Panebianco of Camas won the 50 freestyle (26:42) and the 100 backstroke (1:03.06). She was also part of the winning 200 freestyle relay team.

Union’s seniors were unbeaten in dual meets over four years posting a 56-0 record.

Stars of the day

• Clayton Rajewich, King’s Way Christian boys golf, improved 11 shots from his first-round score and placed second at the Class 1A district tournament in Chehalis. King’s Way Christian won the team title.

• Dalaney Tulholski, Heritage volleyball, had 22 kills, 14 digs, 7 service points to help beat Skyview in straight sets.

• Emma Cox, Mountain View soccer, got the brace to help defeat Evergreen 2-1 on Tuesday.

• Katlyn Bigley, La Center soccer, scored three goals, including one assisted by goalkeeper Shelby Vermeulen, as La Center beat Stevenson 7-1.

• Madison Krog, Stevenson volleyball, was credited with 43 assists as the Bulldogs swept Castle Rock.

• Bella Gama, Ridgefield volleyball, had 10 kills and 25 assists in the Spudders’ win over Mark Morris.

• Alex Sanders, Union girls soccer, scored three goals to help the Titans beat Heritage 5-0.

• Rylee Seekins, Hockinson girls soccer, scored two unassisted goals to spark the Hawk s to a 4-1 win over Washougal.

• Tessa VanBeek, Union volleyball, had 10 digs, eight kills and three aces in Union’s win over Evergreen.

• Lauren Young, Camas volleyball, had nine kills and three digs in the Papermakers’ win over Mountain View.
