No shortage of rain so far this month thanks to the heavy downpours Wednesday afternoon and evening that totaled well over one inch as of 4 p.m. We are now way above average for the month and more rain is on the way.
It just goes to show you how fast we can catch up while under nature’s spell. We can’t do anything about the last water year, where we ended up below average. The new water year tally began Oct. 1.
The trees are slow to change colors and drop leaves this fall, and that helps the street flooding a bit. The next big storm rolls in Friday night, and we could see some strong winds on Saturday, but that is still in the development stage at this point.
