‘Godfather of Pittsburgh’ to premiere Nov. 10

Pittsburgh’s Vince Isoldi might or might not be a gangster. A&E is hoping you’ll tune in Nov. 10 and form your own opinion.

Isoldi, who was born in Naples, Italy, but grew up in Pittsburgh, is the star of “Godfather of Pittsburgh,” an eight-part series that follows the “businessman with a dark past,” as he’s described in press materials. Just-released promotional art features Isoldi, cigar in hand, and the words “Everyone Thinks I’m A Gangster.”

Eight one-hour episodes will feature Isoldi, his wife, Carla, sons Enzo, Adolfo and Romeo and father-in-law Junior Williams, the last of whom is “the Numbers King” of Pittsburgh.

There’s also the promise of family drama involving Isoldi’s sister and her husband. According to A&E, “Vince must manage the challenges of family and business while trying not to resort back to his old ways.”

But a search of Allegheny County Common Pleas court records shows no criminal filings, so it remains to be seen exactly how dark and gangster the series gets.
